CEHR
3
Damage to the CEHR due to short-circuiting through humidity
and moisture.
Mount the CEHR so that it is protected against humidity and
moisture.
It only takes a short time to install the CEHR:
• Remove the current thermostat.
• If necessary, install an adapter on the valve.
• Install the valve lantern.
• Insert the batteries.
• Set date and time
• Attach the operating unit.
The CEHR operates immediately in the factory setting.
1. Screw the current thermostat off the radiator.
2. Pull the thermostat off the valve.
1. Open up the adapter.
2. Push the adapter onto
the valve as far as it will
go. Turn the adapter
while doing so until you
feel it click into place.
For the Danfoss RAV and
Vaillant adapters:
Insert the adapter pin in
the valve lifter.
For the Danfoss RA and
RAV adapters:
Tighten the adapter with
the screw and nut.
For the Vaillant adapter
Tighten the hexagon
socket screws at the
adapter.
1. Turn the adjustment dial of
the valve lantern to the left
(anticlockwise) until the
nose (1) of the adjustment
dial is positioned at the
stop (2) of the housing.
2. Slide the valve lantern onto
the valve or adapter as
shown.
Use the special valve
lantern at the Oventrop
and Herz valve types.
3. Move the knurled nut (3)
forwards and tighten it
firmly by hand (do not use
a tool for this!).
The valve is now open and, with the central heating
switched on, the radiator warms up.
Batteries are delivered separately.
The batteries must be replaced when
flashes on the
display.
The following anti-leak batteries can be used for the CEHR:
Type Designation Battery life
Mignon battery Alkaline-manganese LR6 AA AM3 approx. 2 years
1.5 V Accu Alkaline-manganese LR6 AA AM3 approx. ¾ year
Lithium battery LR6 AA AM3 approx. 2 years
1. Swivel the bracket
upwards as far as it will go
and remove the operating
unit from the valve lantern.
2. Turn the battery clamp on
the rear of the operating
unit anti-clockwise.
3. Insert two batteries. Make
sure the polarity is correct.
4. Turn back the battery
clamp. When doing so,
slightly press the batteries
inwards.
